My thoughts on The Witch

“One of the best horrors this year!”

I absolutely adored this film! Going into this movie, I heard nothing but great things and rightfully so! It deserves all the attention its getting because its phenomenal! Anyways,  the story is simple. A family living in a small farm in New England in the 1600s is torn apart. I felt very uneasy as I was watching “The Witch” and I was never bored. Pacing wise, I really enjoyed it being slow. It’s a slow burn horror, and it’s fun. Some might not like the slow pace but I think it fits and the movie gives you just enough to be satisfied. I was glued the whole time so it didn’t really concern me.

Along with a very intriguing story, the film also had an incredible haunting score, beautiful cinematography, and fantastic performances, especially from Anya Taylor Joy (Thomasin) and  Ralph Ineson (William). All of this combined together creates a fantastic horror film that is incredibly tense and one that will make you squirm in your seat. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I encourage you to check this one out! Unlike many horrors movies that are released today, “The Witch” is genuinely creepy! It’s very unsettling and disturbing and fun!

My thoughts on Deadpool

“Fucking Incredible”

From beginning to end, I was having a great time! I think this is the best comic book movie ever! It was so damn fucking hilarious and all around very fun! From the opening credits, I knew I was about to watch something special! Ryan Reynolds is DEADPOOL. He is absolutely perfect in the role! The rest of the cast did a great job as well! Watching Deadpool go back and forth with Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Colossus, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead was awesome! I got nothing but positive stuff to say, it’s just so damn good! It’s phenomenal from start to finish! The action and music were spot on!  It hit all the right notes and surpassed my expectations! Please watch it! You will seriously have a great time!  It was the funniest and most entertaining movie I’ve seen in a long damn time. I thoroughly loved it! It’s fantastic!

P.S. – Stay after the credits!

Top 11 Most Anticipated Movies of 2016!

Well, here’s my list! It was somewhat a challenge to make since there are so many movies that come out each and every year that I really wanna see. So yea, down below are some movies that I didn`t put in the list but I`m still really excited to see.

Other Movies I’m looking forward too in 2016: Manchester By The Sea, The Birth of a Nation, The Neon Demon, Allied, Certain Women, The Light Between Oceans, The Girl on the Train, Sully, The Nice Guys, La La Land, Knight of Cups, Weightless, Midnight Special, Captain America: Civil War, and  X-Men: Apocalypse

#11 – Hacksaw Ridge

Not only does “Hacksaw Ridge” have a terrific cast with Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) and Hugo Weaving (V for Vendetta) just to name a few, the man who is directing this is Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson is a fantastic director so I’m excited to see what he can do again behind the camera.

#10 – Finding Dory

I’m really excited for this movie! I really enjoyed the character Dory in Finding Nemo so I think she will be fun to watch for 1 hour and a half or 2 hours or whatever the runtime is. The primary reason why I’m excited for this is for nostalgic reasons since I watched Finding Nemo a whole bunch when I was a kid. It isn’t my favourite but I really enjoyed Finidng Nemo. I don’t think Finding Dory will be bad since the talent behind this have a great track record but you never know how things will turn out in the end. I’m just really looking forward to go back into this universe and see familier faces. Pixar is known to have fantastic animated films besides a couple few..cough cough…Cars 2 & 3 so I have high hopes.

#9 – Deadpool

I am really excited to see this because Deadpool is such a fun character and I’m really looking forward to have a great time and laugh! He’s funny, he’s violent, and he’s just fucking awesome! Ryan Reynolds wanted to play the character of Deadpool and it shows in the trailers/promos/clips how great of a Deadpool he is! I could not imagine anyone who would be better as Ryan Reynolds playing the character of Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds quit being Ryan Reynolds and become Deadpool 24/7! From watching the trailers and some clips, this looks like an awesome movie!

#8 – Doctor Strange

fhbvrkx (1)

I’m not familiar with the character or the story, so like many others, I’ll be learning about Doctor Strange from watching the movie. I have never seen anything like Doctor Strange before so I’m really excited! Scott Derrickson is directing this, so no doubt this will be dark and creepy. I also love the talent behind this, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Mads “Hannibal” Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor and more! Can’t wait to see magical spells and weird buildings and stuff…

#7 – The Jungle Book

This movie looks fucking amazing! It has a phenomenal cast of voice talent and also a great director (Jon Favreau) behind the camera. I love all the talent behind this and if you have seen the trailer, it looks incredible! Another reason I’m excited to see this is because another Jungle Book movie will be coming out next year, directed by Andy “Gollum” Serkis, also starring a phenomenal cast of voice talent, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andy Serkis himself to name a few. I’m also interested to see the differences between this 1 and the one directed by Andy Serkis and see how each director tackles the story of The Jungle Book.

#6 – Suicide Squad

Wow! Every character looks interesting and awesome! We get to see a new Joker aswell as Harley Quinn for the first time together! I am super duper excited to see this! Who doesn’t want to see a team of villains team up and fight together? Margot Robbie looks fantastic as Harley Quinn and everyone else does too. I know lots of people aren’t too keen on Jared Leto as The Joker but if you have seen the newest trailer (the one with Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background) Leto’s facial expressions and laugh are fantastic/terrifying! It’s a new take on The Joker and I dig it! BTW – parts of “Suicide Squad” were filmed in Toronto, which is where I am from so during the times they were here filming, I went downtown and I was lucky enough to see a couple of set pieces and some scenes being filmed and yea it was pretty sweet. I am super pumped to see this!

#5 – Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Who isn’t excited to see this? We obviously know they are gonna make up but who doesn’t wanna see Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent go head to head?! I’m not a big fan of Zack Snyder but I think he will do this movie justice. Yea, I am fucking excited! Wonder-Woman and Lex Luthor look fantastic! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

#4 – Green Room

I am a really big fan of Blue Ruin, so I can’t wait to see this! Jeremy Saulnier is rising up to be a director to watch out for! Blue Ruin was very suspenseful and just overall intense and Green Room looks like it will be too! I am so excited to see this! I also love the cast! It looks awesome!

#3 – Silence

Liam Neeson and Andrew Goddard and Adam Driver in a drama and two words – Martin Scorsese. This film will no doubt be talked about during award season and I’m always excited to see Liam Neeson in dramatic roles. Martin Scorsese is one of my favourite directors and one of the best directors in the business and his projects always turn out fantastic. Who isn’t excited about a film being directed by MARTIN SCORSESE!

#2 – Story of Your Life

A Sci-Fi movie directed by one of my favourite directors, Denis Villeneuve, starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker and more! Denis Villeneuve’s previous film that he directed “Sicario” was my number one film of 2015! He also directed one of my favourite movies of 2013, Prisoners. I am excited to see how Denis handles Sci-Fi! I love Denis Villeneueve and the performances he brings out of the actors are phenomenal! I can’t wait to see how Denis tackles Sci-Fi and I think he will crush it! I’m just so fucking excited! I’ll watch every movie he directs! He’s just so awesome and very talented. Ahh!

#1 – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

First Star Wars Anthology movie! Who doesn’t wanna see this? The cast is fucking awesome, Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Mads “Hannibal” Mikkelsen, and Ben Mendelsohn to name a few, and I love the director, Gareth Edwards (Godzilla). The story sounds flipping awesome, a mission about stealing the plans for the Death Star! Nothing else much else to say, its flipping STAR WARS!
